Commander Sofia Daguerre is one of the Companions added in Wastelander DLC in Fallout 76 (FO76). Companions usually have their own Quests, and can help the player wandering the wasteland.
A veteran of the USSA space program, Commander Sofia Daguerre participated in a long-term suspended animation experiment. She went into hibernation shortly after her ship achieved orbit in 2070. She was supposed to wake up in 2075, with a possible extension until 2080. The experiment unintentionally continued for too long until the ship crashed. Unaware of the Great War, Daguerre has crashed into Appalachia looking for help.
She somehow managed to limp away from her crash site and find refuge in one of the Free States' old bunkers until being found by the Vault 76 residents. After being told of the fate of the U.S.A. at the hands of nuclear armageddon with the People's Republic of China during the Great War back in 2077, Sofia asks the residents to help her with locating her crew, even asking if they would be willing to let her stay at their C.A.M.P. until she knows the fates of her crewmates.
