The Missing Link is a Main Quest in Fallout 76. The aim of this Main Quest is complete all of Rose's whims and needs, and trust us, there are a lot of them! Quests are objectives that the player may complete to obtain special rewards for their participation in the wasteland activities.

Don't You Mean Center...
Your destination: the Top of the World. The location: the center of the map. In terms of distance, it's quite a long journey, however it makes up for it with the lack of challenging enemies along the route that will be provided to you. Fast Travel to Morgantown then head southeast towards the destination.
This approach will bring you towards the north side of the Top of the World, which the inhabitants are less menacing than those of the southern route. Along this northern route, you'll encounter a few low-leveled Mole Men and Super Mutants. On your way, upon getting close enough to the Top of the World, take your radio out and listen to the station. Once you arrive, you'll unlock the ability to start the Signal Strength quest.

To continue with this quest, you must first complete: Signal Strength, Flavors of Mayhem, and Key to the Past. Once you complete all three, continue reading the rest of this.
Helping Rose & another Interlude
Once you've built Rose's Signal Repeater, you will gain access to the elevator and will be able to take it to the third floor of the Top of the World. Reaching the third floor will show an end to Madigan's trail. Rose will find out what she needs but will not fill you in until you complete all her other quests.
Finally
Once you've completed all of Rose's desires, loot the Raider's Cache for a Broken Uplink. Once you've done this, Fast-Travel (or regular travel if you can't) to Sunnytop Ski Lanes and start making your way east to reach Abbie's Bunker. Upon your arrival, look for the Terminal and hack it to continue inside, to complete the quest.
