Weeping Sores is one of the Diseases of Fallout 76 (FO76). For Diseases, all effects are negative with the exception of slowing down the spread of the Scorched Plague. These can be caught by doing the most mundane things incorrectly, such as eating raw meat, drinking unclean water, physical contact with diseased individuals, and sleeping in poor conditions.

How to Prevent Weeping Sores

They can also be cured with specific cures or antibiotics, or flush themselves out of a Vault Dweller's system on their own after a set period of time. There are a lot of ways to avoid contracting unnecessary diseases:

  • Up to 25% increased resistance if food and drink levels are maintained.
    • Consume cooked or canned foods. Use the Perk Iron Stomach to reduce risk further.
    • Consume clean water (boiled or purified). Use the Perk Thirst Quencher to reduce risk further.
  • Deal with diseased creatures at range. Use the Perk Vaccinated to reduce risk further.
  • Radaway temporarily increases disease resistance.
  • Improved sleeping conditions.

How to Cure Weeping Sores

When players become diseases, they must either endure the duration of the debuff or seek out Chems to cure themselves.
