Fallout 76 Mutant Hounds are dogs who mutated because of the Forced Evolutionary Virus, usually accompanying super mutants. Alone they aren't much of threat just with a very tough skin but with super mutants, their lethality becomes very pronounced due having to deal with charging mutant hounds while super mutant lighting you up with all manner of firearms is an extremely dangerous situation to be in.

Fallout 76 Mutant Hound is an Enemy in the game. Mutant Hounds are the mutated pets of the feared Super Mutant tribes of the Appalachia. Enemies are creatures, robots and contraptions that are hostile to the player and may be defeated to complete Quests or obtain Loot.
