Craft a piece of Armor is a Side Quest in Fallout 76. Side Quests can provide various of rewards from XP to caps. They are displayed under the section "SIDE" of the Pip-Boy.

In order to obtain this quest, simply run the main quest "First Contact". You will unlock this as a miscellaneous quest once you've located the Overseer's C.A.M.P.
Now, to complete the quest, first, make sure to loot the Overseer's Cache as well as the other boxes, you will need all the materials to craft your first Armor. And last, approach the Armor Workbench, use it, and choose the ones you can forge - the Armor Workbench can also be found at the Overseer's C.A.M.P.
Once that's done, you'll instantly complete the quest.
