Perks in Fallout 76 are special abilities very present in the fallout series that gives a unique bonus to the players taking them. Bonuses so unique that weapon usage and playstyles would become more reliant on the abilities unlocked by perks in the later stages of the game.

In Fallout 76, the perk system is different compared to other fallout games. The perks are gained and kept with the perk card systems in which the cards that you can equip depends on how much points in your SPECIAL stat has and how much points the specific card cost. 

 In terms of gaining perk cards, there seem to be two ways of doing so. First is through leveling up a specific SPECIAL stat would give the player one perk card and the second way is getting a card pack which contains multiple perk cards.
