Strength in Numbers is a Quest in Fallout 76. Quests are objectives that the player may complete to obtain special rewards for their participation in the wasteland activities.

Speak to Duchess at The Wayward.
She'll set you after Sol and machine bestie, Polly. Thanks to her mechanical nature, Polly is fitted with a tracker you can use to locate the pair.
Head outside, then get out your Pip-Boy and go to radio tab. You will see a circular marker to the northeast on your map.
Travel to your destination, you can find the note on one of the scorched corpses. It updates your map to have an objective at the Gauley Mine to the north. Head to the mine, clear out the Scorched, and head inside.
You can mine some coal for some extra XP at this place, but your main goal is at the bottom of the mine. Find Sol, and go through the narrow path next to him to save Polly.
After you cleared the scorched and find Polly's head, travel back to The Wayward. Place the head on the jug when prompted, then agree to go and grab a new body.
Fast travel south to Summerville, go to the marked robotics shop. You can intimidate Skinner on the front desk if you have at least 4 strength, or pay him to get access to some handy bodies.
For the pristine Assaultron body, you either need to pick the skill 3 lock on the far side of the Handy showroom, or use the hole on the left side of the room and go to the attic. Find the note about the shop owner's favorite number (88888).'Unlock the door key to the Assaultron showroom with the number. Place the tag and return to Polly.

i threw a molotov by mistake and the duchess got angry at me for klilling someone, tho i didnt hit anything. i wanted her to tell me crane's story goddamnit. is there a way to reset this mission?
I went in with the card and, not knowing how to access the assaultron room, I left and figured I would come back later with better door opening skill since I didn't want to settle for less than the assaultron body and now it won't let me past the entrance door card reader. I still have the Duncan and Duncan access card, but it won't work for some reason.
