Death From Above is a Main Quest in Fallout 76. The aim of this Main Quest is to inform players of the steps they can take during and/or after their Nuclear Launch. Quests are objectives that the player may complete to obtain special rewards for their participation in the wasteland activities.

Blastoff
If you want to watch the world burn, you can leave the silo prior to the launch - just be sure to grab all your belongings and loot the chests before leaving, as the silos will lock for 3 hours after launch. You can always watch it from the inside (but that comes with waiting 3 hours until the doors unlock again). Alternatively, if you choose to leave there are plenty of very nice vantage spots around each of the silos from which to watch your misdeeds.
Anyone in the blast zone will be warned in advance but if they don't pack up and leave the vicinity quickly, they and their belongings -including their C.A.M.P.- will be obliterated.
Rise from the Ashes
Entering the blast site after the bombs have gone off will cause these things to happen:
- Obliterate the area completely, structurally.
- Mutate inhabitants, making them a lot stronger.
- Spawn rarer and more valuable resources and loot in the vicinity.
- Incredibly irradiates the vicinity.
Another One
This isn't the end though. This can be done over and over again, until you absolutely obliterate the entire area of Appalachia. This will increase the difficulty and challenge of your surroundings, leading to better rewards for your efforts.
