Vault-Tec University is one of the Locations within The Forest region in Fallout 76 (FO76). Players can access locations by progressing in the game's story and as part of Side Quests. Some Locations are seemingly inconsequential, but can reward players with special Equipment and Items.
The large Vault-Tec University complex lies within The Forest region of Appalachia.It is comprised of 3 main buildings, each providing different facilities and experiences. Since they are all in close proximity, the Scorched occupy the entire campus -so stay vigilant. They are also all linked via underground tunnels, making them accessible to each other from within, as well.
The East Campus Building is the largest of the three, and is also linked to the Monorail Station via a skybridge; check the station for additional scavenging grounds. Inside the East Campus you'll find a number of different facilities including classrooms, a lecture hall, and a Terminal which grants you access to the Simulation Vault.
The North Campus Building is sealed off by a barricade, which means you'll need to find an alternate way in -possibly a hole in the wall. There are a number of classrooms and one of them has access to the Simulation Vault, more specifically, the Overseer's Room.
The South Campus Building can be accessed via the front doors. There are a set of stairs that lead down to a terminal that also grants access to the Simulation Vault. Unfortunately, there's not much else in this building, apart from a bit of Junk.
The Simulation Vault is exactly what it sounds like: a replica of a fallout vault like Vault 76. Most of this area is still in tact, so search around for goodies if you like but be sure to visit the secret Records Chamber on the bottom floor.
The expansive campus buildings are interlinked by both outdoor bridges and underground passages. Explorers will want to brave Scorched in the area to retrieve valuable items, plans, junk and information hidden within.
